The Sugarettes — surf rock trio from outer space

The Sugarettes are officially a surf rock trio made up of two guitarists and an android drummer. Unofficially, they are the crew of an alien ship that crash-landed on Earth.

While setting up their HQ in a barn close to the crash site, they discovered vintage human artefacts, including musical instruments. While waiting to repair their ship, and in order to carry on their mission of observing the human species as closely as possible, they adopted the most credible cover they could find: a band.

After a meticulous study of Earth's archives, their protocol consists of replaying the iconic sound signals of human civilisation — pop, rock and disco hits, film scores or timeless classics — revisited in a surf garage style.

Under the cover of retro-futuristic concerts, The Sugarettes continue their behavioural study of the human species.

Repairs are progressing slowly ... The research, however, advances with every public appearance of the trio.
